Exambasics ("we", "us") operates exambasics.com, a practice platform for technical certifications and vocational assessments (including the London Topographical Practice module). This policy describes what we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account data: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile information via Supabase Auth.
- Practice data: Exam attempts, scores, answers, route drawings, and session timings are stored so you can review results, resume sessions, and track progress.
- Certification purchases (Gumroad): If you buy tokens or a subscription, Gumroad processes payment; we receive purchase notifications linked to your account (product, status, identifiers — not full card numbers).
- London Topographical purchases (Stripe): If you buy TfL module access, Stripe processes payment; we receive checkout metadata (e.g. customer email, payment status, session references) to unlock your licence period.
- Feedback: Messages and optional contact details you send through our feedback form.
- Technical data: Standard server and analytics logs (e.g. IP address, browser type, pages visited) where analytics are enabled.
How we use information
We use this information to provide practice exams, manage entitlements and access periods, improve content, prevent abuse, and respond to support and refund requests.
Third-party services
We rely on service providers to operate the platform, including:
- Supabase (database, authentication)
- Vercel or similar hosting
- Gumroad (certification token and subscription payments)
- Stripe (London Topographical module payments)
- OpenStreetMap tile servers (map display in route practice — see OSM privacy policy for tile requests)
- Google (OAuth sign-in)
- Analytics providers, if configured
These providers process data according to their own policies and our instructions where applicable.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers as needed to run the service, or when required by law.
Retention
We retain account and practice data while your account is active and as needed for legal, billing, and support purposes. You may request deletion by contacting us; some records (e.g. payment audit trails) may be retained where required.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
